Good Neighbour Awards

Hightown is looking for unsung heroes in the community for its Good Neighbour Award.

We want to pay tribute to residents who have made a significant difference to the lives of their neighbours or the local community. The Good Neighbour Awards are a fantastic way to highlight the good work carried out by all sorts of people. It only takes a little bit of thoughtfulness and consideration to be a good neighbour and we’d like you to tell us about yours.

There are all sorts of ways that you can be a good neighbour, you might consider some of the following aspects when deciding whether to nominate someone living near you:

• Have they helped you out at a time of crisis or are they a good neighbour all the time?
• Do they help you with your garden or do the shopping for you when you can’t?
• Maybe they’ve just been there when you needed someone to talk to?
• Perhaps they set up a local residents' association or organised an event to bring people in your area together.
