Revised plans for affordable new homes in Wing

In response to feedback from local residents, Hightown Praetorian & Churches Housing Association (Hightown) has revised the plans for new affordable homes in Evelyn Close, Wing.
The new scheme also addresses the issues raised by the planning inspector in response to the plans submitted previously. Hightown will shortly be submitting the new proposal to provide four affordable new homes in Wing for planning permission.
The existing houses and flats at Evelyn Close, Wing are over sixty years old. Since Hightown took ownership of them in the early nineteen nineties, it has spent over £1 million in refurbishing the estate to bring it up to modern standards.
This latest stage of works will provide two new three bedroom affordable houses and two affordable two bedroom duplex apartments, with ample off-street parking, to replace two unmodernised properties. The plans have been subject to consultation with residents and have been substantially modified as a result of their comments.
