Hightown joins in Macmillan's World's Biggest Coffee Morning

The Directors of Hightown Praetorian & Churches Housing Association (Hightown) served coffee and cakes to their staff this morning, as part of Macmillan Cancer Support’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

Led by David Bogle, Chief Executive of Hightown, the team of Directors pulled together a menu to appeal to all tastes, from delicious cakes and muffins to freshly buttered toast with jam.  Dressed in bow ties and aprons, the Directors waited on over 70 of their employees, from the Maylands based offices as well as staff from some of Hightown’s local support services for people with learning disabilities or affected by mental health.

As well as raising over £200 for the charity, the morning was enjoyed by everyone involved. Sarah King, Hightown’s Finance Operations Manager who suggested that the housing association should get involved, said “Some of the staff were amazed they had to sit down at tables and be waited on by their boss, but it was a great atmosphere and they soon got used to the idea of clicking their fingers for service!” .
