Join in the TSA's National Conversation

28.01.2009

The Tenant Services Authority (TSA) is the new regulator for homes owned by housing associations and co-ops.

The first thing the TSA needs to do is draw up a brand new set of standards for all social landlords. These standards are very important, as the TSA will be monitoring how landlords do in achieving them, and taking action against any who don't.

TSA Chief Executive Peter Marsh, said, "The National Conversation is about us asking tenants what they want, to help us understand what matters most in the setting of standards for landlords. Only by understanding what matters most to tenants today and tomorrow can we at the TSA ensure we help raise the standards of services in areas that matter most."

Tenants and prospective tenants of housing associations, councils, co-ops and ALMOs are all invited to take part in the TSA's National Conversation between now and the end of March.

This is your opportunity to help set the standards for all social landlords and make sure that services for tenants continue to improve. There are lots of ways tenants can take part in the National Conversation. For example, Hightown will be feeding back to the TSA all of the comments made at the recent Resident Forums. The TSA will be holding a series of regional events for a number of tenants to attend, and would also like tenants to get involved in Local Conversations, these don't have to be formal - they could be a group of tenants getting together over a cup of tea in somebody's home or in a community centre.

To find out how you can get involved, call the TSA on 0845 230 7000 or visit the National Conversation website at www.nationalconversation.co.uk
