27.10.2008
Following the success of last years event, Hightown took part in this year's Street Safe Surgery which was organised by Dacorum’s Community Safety Partnership (CSP). The event took place on Friday 17th October 2008 outside the Marlowes Shopping Centre in Hemel Hempstead.
The Street Safe Surgey included locally based key organisations to show case the work being done to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour and bringing professional and local communities together to say no to crime in our neighbourhoods.

Hightown Praetorian joined Hertfordshire Constabulary, Hertsreach Dacorum, Druglink, Herts Fire and Rescue, and Dacorum Borough Council to collectively provide information to residents on making their areas safe.
The Not in my Neighbourhood scheme is a government led initiative organised by the Home Office which is run across every region in England and Wales.
The aim is to increase public confidence in their local crime reduction partnership and police and work done by local agencies. It also encourages people to play their part and provide reassurance to residents.
Remember to look out for next years Street Safe Surgery and make sure you take part.
