New apartments built by Hightown in Hemel Hempstead were finished just in time for new parents Letitia Jackson and Rob Rawlings.
Letitia gave birth to baby Kyrah on Sunday 25th September, just one day before the young family moved into their new apartment in Lockview Court in Ebberns Road.
The 22 apartments at Lockview Court are being let at rents lower than normal – many to local people already living or working in Dacorum. With mortgages being so hard to come by, intermediate renting provides an ideal stepping-stone towards home ownership.
Letitia commented: “We had been living with my family in Hemel Hempstead since the lease on our last flat expired, but the lower rent here means we can still save for a deposit to buy our own home in the next couple of years.
“Hightown have been very supportive, making the move as straightforward and easy as possible – we viewed the flat on the Friday, had the baby on Sunday and moved in on the Monday!”
