Shared ownership homes in St Albans

Renting while saving

If you are looking to purchase a property in the next five years, our Intermediate Rent scheme offers homes at a rent normally 20 – 30% lower than you would expect to pay for a similar home in a comparable location, to help you save for a deposit. Intermediate rent homes are generally let on an Assured Shorthold Tenancy.

Hightown currently have intermediate rent apartments available at Bulbourne House, The Cotterells, Hemel Hempstead (part of the Image development). These 1 and 2 bed apartments come with fitted kitchen, bathroom, good sized bedrooms, a large living / dining area and with lifts to all floors. All apartments are fully carpeted. 

To qualify to rent one of these apartments, applicants will need to meet the following criteria (additional criteria may appply to some schemes, such as being a Key Worker):

      ·         Register with Lea Valley Homes
      ·         Satisfy minimum income criteria 
      ·         Not have a household income of more than £44,000

We have one and two bedded Intermediate Rent apartments at the following locations:
      ·         Centaurus Square, off Park Street, Frogmore, St Albans
      ·         Groom House / Thompson House, off The Queensway, close to Hemel Hempstead's old town
      ·         Davy House - off Victoria Street, St Albans close to the City Station
      ·         Bulbourne House (Rent to Buy), in the centre of Hemel Hempstead
