Employee Benefits for Permanent Staff
(These benefits are available to permanent staff based on a 35 or 37.5 hour week and are pro-rata for part-time employees)
Holidays
25 days per annum, rising to 27 days after 2 years service (dependent on satisfactory performance) plus 8 paid bank holidays.
Occupational Pension Scheme - CARE
All full-time and part-time and permanent employees are eligible to join the Career Average Revalued Earnings (CARE) scheme with a contribution of 8.1 -10.1% dependent on age. (8.1% under 30, 9.1% 30-39 and 10.1% 40 years +). This is available on commencement of service. Currently, the Association contributes 9.7% of salary.
Bonus Payments
A monthly bonus of 1.25% of monthly salary is paid to employees from their seventh month with the Association, following satisfactory completion of the probationery period.
A discretionary bonus is also paid in December to all staff who joined on or before 1st April of the same year and have achieved a satisfactory performance appraisal.
Free Life Assurance
Death in Service benefit (3 times annual salary) up to age 65.
Sabbatical Leave
Employees with over 5 years' continuous service may take additional unpaid sabbatical leave from 3-12 months and return to their own or a similar post and service is preserved.
Professional subscription
Annual subscription fees are met for membership to one relevant professional body per member of staff.
Employee assistance helpline
This is a 24 hour free, confidential telephone help and advice service available to staff.
Simplyhealth
Simplyhealth offer two plans: Cash and Dental. For a small monthly payment employees receive cash back on items like dental care, eye tests and physiotherapy, up to an annual limit.
Bank and Casual employees
Money purchase pension scheme
Bank and casual employees are eligible to join a money purchase pension scheme with Hightown matching employee contributions to a maximum of 5%.
