Womens Refuge
Stevenage & North Herts. Women's Refuge (SNHWR)
Hightown Praetorian & Churches runs one women's refuge in Stevenage, where we offer safe, temporary accommodation for women and children who are affected by domestic violence.
Our all-female team are on hand to provide access to information, support and advice for women using the refuge. All women staying at the refuge are allocated a link worker who provides assistance. We aim to support women as they take control of their lives. The needs of children affected by domestic violence are recognised and addressed as a key element of our work with families.
