How Do I...?

Learning Disabilities

Hightown is a well established provider of support to people with learning disabilities, both in the community and living in our own supported housing schemes. Our services are focused on you with the aim of enabling you to get the most out of life.

Putting you first

At Hightown we believe that all people with a learning disability should:
· Have the same legal and civil rights as everyone else
· Are included in all aspects of their local community
· Have real choice and control over their daily lives
· Have real chances to achieve greater independence wherever possible
· Enjoy health, well-being and opportunities for fulfilment

To achieve this we make sure that you are at the centre of everything we do.

What we can offer you

All our services are person centred and the support we offer is tailored to your individual needs. We are able to provide flexible support, from just a couple of hours each week to 24-hour support.
The things we can help you with include:
· Supporting you with household tasks such as cooking, washing and cleaning
· Accompanying you to appointments and support with shopping
· Helping you to manage your money and other aspects of your day-to-day life
· Supporting you to learn new skills
· Supporting you to make new friends and keep in contact with family
· Helping you to access employment services

We listen to you - tell us what support you want, and we can work with you to give you what you are looking for.
