We provide housing, care and support for people with learning disabilities, who may also face challenges in other areas of their life.
The association has 3 supported housing teams who support nearly 100 residents at projects in both Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire who wish to live independently but require help on a regular basis. In line with individual needs, different levels of support are offered.
In some properties staff are located in a flat nearby to provide 24-hour support in emergencies. Each resident holds a tenancy, usually on their own flat. We help each person to sustain their tenancy and provide support in many other areas of their lives (finances, benefits, domestic, health, personal/social, religious, cultural, community, accessing employment services, etc).
We also provide high support service including 9 registered care homes and 1 registered care home with nursing. These services offer 24-hour support to people who need additional help in many areas of their lives. We aim to develop each person's life skills and autonomy and are responsive to their needs and wishes.
Within each home, each resident has their own bedroom and shares a kitchen, lounge, dining area, bathroom, garden and laundry facilities. Residents are encouraged to bring their own belongings when they move, providing the items meet Health and Safety regulations.
Visitors are welcome subject to the wishes of the resident. Advocates represent and support the individual at their meetings if requested by the resident concerned.
