Open Door Homelessness Service, St Albans

Womens’ Refuge, Stevenage
If you are a woman and you are homeless because you are escaping domestic abuse, you may be able to stay in a women’s refuge, along with your children. Hightown operates a refuge in Stevenage, you can call them on 01438 350243 or click here for more information.
Young people under 18
If you’re homeless and need a place tonight, the council’s housing department may have to house you. You don’t have to be sleeping on the street to be considered homeless; for example you may be living staying on a friend’s sofa, or you may be at risk of violence where you are staying.
