Andrea's story
Andrea came to the service with no clear job goal or focus on how to search for work. Her self esteem was very low and everything was a struggle. Since her referral she is much more motivated and focussed in her approach. She now has a new CV that has reaped rewards together with mock interview practice which has proved to be invaluable. Her timekeeping and general motivation have improved greatly as result.
Aidan's story
When Aidan first came to the service he attended with his wife as he would not really engage without her, he was lacking in confidence and not really able to express himself. The service has given him much more self confidence and drive. He became more interested in work and aware of the benefits to his mental health that work would give him. He now has a job in a warehouse, an outcome that would not have been achieved without the support from the project.
Ian's story
Ian has been involved in the mental health network for some time but with little sign of improvement or progressing towards working. He found interaction with others very difficult and would leave the house only for scheduled appointments or essential needs. The service requires both a day time and an evening attendance which he thought initially may be an issue for him but the project has given him the motivation to increase time away from home. He is much more socially interactive and significantly closer to work than before.
