The Community meeting point shop is the place to go if you are looking to pick up a bargain. With an array of interesting items from designer women’s and men’s clothes to hand made cards we have something for everyone!
The shop makes a significant difference to our fundraising and supports us to deliver services to those in the local community.
We also use our shop to provide real work opportunities to our members. Members can gain retail experience, confidence and self esteem in a real work environment.
We like to think that our shop acts as a stepping stone to working in the wider community or gaining enough confidence to perhaps attend the local college or take up volunteering opportunities in other community venues.

Your donation counts
All donations to our shop are gratefully received and help raise much needed funds to support our work with people whose lives have been affected by mental illness.
It’s really easy for you to make a difference – we’re always looking for good quality donations of:
• unwanted gifts
• children’s clothing, toys and games
• men’s and women’s clothing and shoes
• books and multimedia like DVDs, CDs and vinyl
• accessories, non-pierced jewellery, belts, handbags
• bric a brac, crockery, glassware, bakeware, household linen and ornaments
• any old clothes or textiles that are no longer useable can still raise money by being sold to textile merchants.
How to make a donation
Drop items off at the Community Meeting Point shop. Please don’t leave donations outside the shop when we are closed as they could be stolen or ruined by the weather.
Please contact us on 01582 769016 if:
• You would like to arrange a house collection
• You are a company that would like to donate end-of-line, samples or surplus stock
• You are a company, local business, school or community group that would like to organise a collection of donations on our behalf.
• You have any particular large items to donate that you are unable to bring yourself
Why not donate as a group?
Whether you’re a church group, a school group, a scout group or a group of friends you can make a real difference to support local people. It’s easy all you need to do is set up a ‘dontation drop week’ or a ‘donation drop day’. Just follow 4 these simple steps:
1. Organise a suitable drop off point for bags of donations
2. Contact us on 01582 769016 for some specially designed posters
3. Appeal to everyone you know to sort out their wardbrobes, cupboards and drawers, bag up their unwanted items and drop them off at the designated drop off point
4. Contact us and we will collect all donations.
