Use your Personal or Individual Budget to live life to the full with Hightown’s day opportunities. Whether you are looking for a course, a job or to have fun then Hightown can help.
We offer great opportunities to people recovering from mental health problems and for people with learning disabilities. Our support staff can help you think about the things you want to do in life, and work out how you can do them. This can cover different areas of your life including:
Becoming more independent
- Cooking, and teaching you to cook for yourself
- Taking control of your life.
- Getting advice and help with practical problems at home, like repairs or understanding letters Looking for a course or a job
Thinking about working
- Helping you to attend college and access training
- Supporting you to start volunteering
- Helping you to look for a job
Managing your money
- Looking after your money, saving up and paying your bills
- Making sure you get all of the benefits you are entitled to
With help from our staff you can get active, have fun and meet new people by:
- Finding out what is going on in your area and getting involved
- Discovering activities such as art, music and yoga
- Going swimming, going to a gym or sports centre
- Joining social events and making new friends
- Enjoying a new hobby
